A beautiful, bright grappa produced by the Northern Italian Marolo company, which prides itself on creating fantastic, terroir-centric grappas.
Marolo has been in the business of making superb grappas since 1977, with an emphasis on creating small batch single grape or single estate bottlings.
This grappa is produced with pomace from Freisa grapes, a versatile red grape native to the Piedmont region where Marolo is based, which ranges from sweet to dry in wine style.
The pomace has been fermented in oak casks, before being distilled in a single alembic.
This grappa has been unaged, instead it is rested in stainless steel tanks, which prevents oxidation and allows the flavours to harmonise.
The final result is a fruity, bright and youthful grappa, packed with flavours of red grapes, raspberries, strawberries, peppery spice, white chocolate and powdered sugar.
A bracing aperitif, this bottling also offers a range of options to the experimental bartender.
