Another delicious grappa from the Piedmont based distiller, Marolo.
This grappa begins life as pomace of the Brachetto grape, another native to Piedmont, gathered from small scale producers who place the same emphasis on terroir as Marolo.
The pomace is then distilled in small batches, in Marolo’s bain marie stills.
This grappa has not been aged in wood casks, but rather rested for a time in stainless steel tanks, to avoid oxidation and ensure harmony of flavour.
The final result is a grappa that offers a clear representation of the original grape, with notes of juicy red fruit, spices, orange blossom, toffee, peppery alcohol, pressed flowers, powdered sugar and vanilla.
Each bottle is hand-labelled, and features the Marolo signature: the kingfisher.
