VSOP Cognac

Very Superior Old Pale, as VSOP stands for, must be aged for a minimum of 4 years in French oak casks. Yet, as they often take the form of blends, these Cognacs often contain spirit older than this, to add depth. Nevertheless, this extra age adds another layer of complexity compared to the younger VS, and means that this spirit is very adaptable- just as enjoyable neat as it is in long drinks, cocktails or punches. Some VSOP Cognacs are of such a high quality that they are preferred to the older XOs by drinkers. A really delicious, nuanced spirit, and often very good value!
