A delightful gift set from the Frapin Cognac House, containing two of their high quality offerings: Frapin VSOP and Frapin XO – VIP.

Both Cognacs in this package are from the premier cru of Grande Champagne, widely regarded as the very best of Cognac’s producing areas. Frapin’s estate is only 240 hectares in size. Here they continue to produce Cognac the old fashioned way – distilling over lees, and maturing the spirit in their own humid cellars.

Aged for a minimum of four years in Limousin oak casks, Frapin VSOP offers up notes of beeswax, lemon rind, honeysuckle, fruit cake, liquorice, cinnamon, raisins and cedarwood.

Frapin XO is even more mature and intense, said to contain eaux-de-vie that are a minimum of 10 years old. This spirit offers flavours of chocolate, candied citrus fruit, gingerbread, fresh apples, peaches and cinnamon.

An excellent introduction to one of France’s best Cognac producers.
