A splendid aged grappa from Trentino distillery Villa de Varda.
Made with the pomace of the Prosecco (Glera) grape, one of world’s most popular grape and wine varieties. The grape is common to Veneto, a region that borders Trentino. The pomace is taken very fresh, still dripping with wine, and fermented with Villa de Varda’s special selection of yeasts. The distillation occurs in copper discontinuous stills.
The spirit has been aged for a minimum of 3 years in medium charred French oak casks, creating a spicy, complex and sophisticated spirit.
This grappa offers flavours of almond, apricot, sweet white grapes, vanilla, nutmeg, acacia honey, toffee, milk chocolate, dried fruits and icing sugar.
Once again, Villa de Varda have created a superb single grape grappa.
