An excellent “monovitigno”, or single grape, grappa from Villa de Varda.
This grappa is with Nosiola pomace. Nosiola is a white wine grape grown in the Trentino region, the same area that Villa de Varda is based. Commonly used in blends, and occasionally in dessert wines, this grape is prized for its aromatic qualities and citrusy character.
The grappa is produced using fresh pomace, which has been fermented with specially selected yeasts. Distillation occurs in traditional cooper stills. The spirit has been unaged, offering a vivid flavour of the grape.
Nosiola Monovitigno serves up flavours of lemon, mint, apricot, peach, hazelnut, white grape, powdered sugar, pineapple and peppery spice.
A surprisingly fruity unaged grappa.
