A delicious grappa made by the Marolo distillery, who place a heavy emphasis on the importance of terroir. The distillery is found in the Piedmont area of Northern Italian, and has been running since 1977.

This exquisite grappa is made from the marc of Nebbiolo grapes, from Barolo wines. Barolo is one of Italy’s most consistently popular red wines.

The pomace has been carefully distilled in Marolo’s bain marie stills, so as not to impact its delicate flavours. It has then been aged for a spell in oak barriques, rounding off the spirit’s rough edges and imparting notes of vanilla, spice and oak.

The final product is a well balanced, somewhat drying grappa, with notes of almond, red fruit, cocoa, caramel, grapes, and lemon rind.

Beautifully presented with a striking label, this is another excellent Marolo grappa.
