A blend of very old grappas produced by Dellavalle.

The spirit is made with the pomace of Amarone and Barolo grapes, which has been distilled in the traditional manner, before being aged for a considerable time. These two distillates are then blended with a brandy aged for over 20 years, before being finished in cherry wood barrels for a further six years.

The end result is a ludicrously brandy, with notes of mahogany, dark dried fruit, toffee, espresso, caramel, dark chocolate, plums, sweet red wine, cherries, polished wood, leather and blackcurrant cordial.

An utterly delicious drop.
