An excellent grappa from the Piedmont-based brand, Dellavalle.

This spirit has been produced using the pomace or marc of the Amarone wine grape. The grappa is distilled in traditional small bain-marie stills, before being aged for between 12 to 18 months in oak barrels.

As a result, this grappa offers flavours of sultanas, prunes, and cherries, slight oak, green wood, cinnamon, cloves, sandalwood, funky grape pomace, sweet wine, toffee and vanilla.

Well-made and delicious, this is a great example of an aged, single varietal grappa.
