A marvellous 2005 vintage Grappa from the Dellavalle brand.

This spirit has been produced from high quality grape pomace and distilled in the traditional fashion in small bain-marie stills. The spirit has then been aged in casks that previously held Picolit, a kind of sweet wine from North East Italy.

The end product is an intensely flavoursome spirit with notes of funky grape pomace, rich sweet wine, vanilla, soft flowers, toffee, rancio, sandalwood, oak, white grapes, apples, candied ginger and orange rind.

A rich and decadent grappa, beautifully presented.
