Plantation was only founded in the 1990s by Alexandre Gabriel, who partnered with Maison Ferrand (one of the oldest producing houses in Cognac) to travel the world seeking out only the finest rums from around the world. These rums are matured and bottled in a manner that reflects and emphasises the unique terroir of each spirit. In the short period they have existed, Plantation have gained considerable respect and plaudits, and are considered one of the best bottlers of rum on the planet.

This rum is a blend of spirits from Guatemala and Belize, two adjacent countries with a passion for rum. This rum is matured for two to three years in the Caribbean before being moved to Cognac for an additional year’s maturation in former Cognac casks. This gives the rum a wonderful richness, with layers of complexity and sweet, grape led flavours. A great rum from one of the best brands around.
