Another top-quality rum from Alexandre Gabriel and the team at Plantation. This recent release is recognized by its squatter bottle when compared to other Plantation rums.
Unusually for Plantation, this rum has been bottled by its age statement, rather than its vintage (or star system). Like their other rums, the spirit has been transported to Chateau de Bonbonnet, the home of Pierre Ferrand cognac, for a Cognac cask finish prior to bottling.
The result is a versatile and delicious rum, equally good whether drunk neat or mixed into cocktails. The rum is sweet and approachable, with big hits of sweet grape, banana, vanilla, pineapple and coconut. An excellent Bajan-style rum.
A great bottle to have to hand for the budding home bartender.
