A marvellous, well-aged grappa from premium producer, Nardini.
Part of the brand’s Selezione Bortolo Nardini, a selection of top range spirits named after the distillery’s founder, Bortolo Nardini, who established the company in 1779. Already one of the best selling premium grappa brands in Italy, this older bottling offers a new dimension on the distillery’s product.
Produced using high quality grape pomace in both a pot and column still, the grappa has been aged for 22 years in a single Slavonian oak barrel, producing a spirit of tremendous depth of character and complexity.
Drinkers can expect a soft, fruity and grape-led spirit, with subtle notes of woody spice, vanilla, milk chocolate, soft white peaches, pressed flowers, green wood, sultanas, orange peel, white grapes and some slight green fruit acidity.
This grappa has been bottled at the higher proof of 45% ABV for added body and warmth.
An impressive spirit that would be the perfect alternative to Cognac or single malt Scotch.
