The stronger version of Nardini distillery’s excellent aged Grappa Riserva. Back in the 1940’s, Nardini were the first distillery to properly market the aged grappa style.
The company bring over 225 years of expertise to the production of grappa, having been founded in 1779. Nardini remains in family hands, with the art of grappa-making passed down from generation to generation.
The grappa is made with grape pomace harvested from the foothills of Veneto and Friuli regions of Italy. These are then distilled in a vacuum sealed still with double rectification. The spirit is then aged for a minimum of three years in oak barrels produced with wood from the Slavonia area of Croatia.
Immediately this grappa opens with flavours of intense oak, spice, vanilla, toffee, flowers, grapes, almonds, chocolate, peppery spice and a touch of drying wine.
At 60% ABV, this is an powerful grappa, with assertive, bold flavours.
