Another delicious aged grappa from the Nardini company, who have been in the business for over 225 years.
This bottling sits in the middle of their Selezione Bortolo Nardini range, a series of premium grappas which is named after the company’s founder. The Nardini distillery continues to be family owned.
The grappa is made from the pomace of Merlot, Pinot Grigio and Cabernet grapes, which have been distilled in a combination of vacuum and column stills. It has then been aged in oak from the Slavonia area of Croatia for 7 years, giving it a wonderfully rounded flavour.
This grappa offers up notes of citrus rind, soft brown sugar, ripe cherries and grapes, oak, mint, grassy hay, vanilla, and slight spice.
Bottled at 45% ABV, this proof lends weight and intensity to the spirit.
The grappa is presented beautifully in a bottle designed to recall the architecture of Nardini’s headquarters.
