Another exciting cask finished rum from Mauritius based distillery New Grove.

New Grove has a history stretching back over 150 years, and is auspiciously situated, surrounded by lush fields of sugar cane, which they use to make their gin.

This is an 8 year old rum, which has been aged in French oak for seven years before being finished for a further 12 months in sweet Moscatel wine casks.

The result is a rum rich in flavours of sweet oaky spice, vanilla, dried fruits, nutmeg, caramel, bright cane, brown sugar, espresso, dark chocolate, figs, plums, cherries and sweet grapes.

Bottled at 47% ABV and without colouring or chill filtration, this is a full bodied and satisfying rum.
