A delicious 5 year old rum from Mauritius based distillery New Grove.

First established in 1838, New Grove continues to use local ingredients, with the distillery surrounded by beautiful, lush fields of sugar cane.

The spirit is aged in a mixture of different barrel types, including former port casks and Limousin oak barrels, for five years. This produces a more deeply flavoured rum.

This bottling offers up notes of red berries, cinnamon, candied red apple, chocolate, espresso, port wine, red grapes, plums, cherries, French wood spice, vanilla, burnt sugar, coconut-y oak and slight anise.

An excellent slow sipper, this rum is bottled both natural in colour and free from filtration, meaning that it may cloud slightly at lower temperatures.
