A cracking Mauritian Rhum Agricole from the excellent New Grove distillery.

New Grove has over 150 years of history, and is found surrounded by fertile fields of sugar cane. Indeed, the distillery continues to use local produce when making their rums.

This rum is a blend of spirits, ranging in age from 1 to 15 years, producing an excellent balance of heavier, dignified flavours, from the older rum and brighter, vibrant notes from the younger stuff.

This rum serves up flavours of oak, old spice, vanilla, overripe bananas, bright cane, lime rind, orange juice, cinnamon, cloves, cigar box, milk chocolate, herbs, beeswax, almond and ginger.

Great for both sipping and mixing into cocktails, this is lovely little rum.
