A wonderfully retro-styled grappa that captures the feel of the Italian summer.
Named Dolzan, after the family who run the Villa de Varda distillery, this grappa is made with high quality grape pomace which is taken fresh and still dripping with wine. It is carefully fermented with special yeasts, and distilled in discontinuous copper stills.
This grappa has been aged for some time in wooden casks, giving it greater depth, and delectable oaky flavours.
Dolzan Riserva serves up notes of fresh grapes, dried fruits, cinnamon, vanilla, oak, herbs, flowers, pepper and citrus rind.
Bottled at 50% ABV, this is a more powerful and vivid grappa, which really expresses itself on the palate.
Impressive stuff again from the Trentino distillery.
