A rather fascinating infused grappa from Nardini, who have been in the business since 1779. Nardini describe this bottling as “a pick-me-up for body and soul”.
This grappa-liqueur is made with the pomace of grapes gathered in the foothills of the Fruli and Veneto regions of Italy, and infused with the branches of the rue herb.
These ingredients are distilled in a vacuum-sealed steam still, with double rectification.
Immediately drinkers will note the pale green colour of the grappa, a result of the rue herb’s infusion. The spirit offers flavours of slightly bitter herbs, with a pleasant, gentle mint note, touches of funky grape pomace, peppery spice and green wood.
Perfect served as a digestif.
