Described by the distillery as their “flagship product”, this is a rare example of a wheat-heavy rye whiskey.
Originally known as Ravenwood – the company were forced to change the name after a legal battle, so renamed it “Last Feather” – as this was all that was left of the original raven. If you look carefully, the bottle bears the symbol “RR” as a wink to the original name.
The whiskey itself is delicious – made with a mashbill of 60% organic rye, and 40% organic wheat.
The result is a chewier, sweeter rendition of the rye whiskey style, which retains all the tasty spicy notes you know and love. Drinkers can expect notes of fresh bread, cinnamon, mint, green apples, sweet grain, bananas, toasty oak, pepper and floral honey.
Bottled at 45% ABV for a touch more body and warmth.
