A fascinating gin from the Journeyman Distillery, found in Michigan, USA.

This bottling takes Journeyman’s Bilberry Black Hearts Gin (made with Juniper, Bilberry, Lemon, Bitter Orange, Cinnamon, Coriander, Anise, Angelica, Orris) and ages it in new white American oak barrels for between 6 and 12 months. The gin itself is made with a base of 100% organic Michigan wheat.

The result is richly flavoured gin that serves up notes of subtle gin botanicals, ripe berries, vanilla, gentle oak, toffee, subtle spice and some fresh pinewood.

Journeyman have bottled this expression at 45% for a little more body and depth.
