A delicious, fruity gin from Michigan based distillery, Journeyman.

This gin has been made with the “hero ingredient” of bilberry – a cousin to both the blueberry and the huckleberry. Bilberries are found across the temperate regions of the northern hemisphere, and have a bittersweet flavour. Known for their dark blue colour, bilberries were nicknamed “Black Hearts” in 19th Century England.

In this gin, bilberries are used alongside juniper, lemon, bitter orange, cinnamon, coriander, anise, angelica, and orris root to produce a flavoursome and complex spirit.

The final product is a gin that serves up flavours of jammy berries, peppery spice, pine-led juniper, citrus rind, earthy coriander and cinnamon, and some bittersweet blueberry-notes.

An excellent gin that would be ideal in all manner of cocktails, particularly given its 45% strength.
