This Cognac takes its name from the Latin phrase meaning “Elegantly”, and it certainly lives up to this billing, a beautiful Cognac both in looks and taste. Since 1880, Jean Fillioux have been producing spirit of a fantastic quality. This is partly due to their superb location, at the heart of the Grande Champagne cru’s “golden triangle”. This area is known for having some of the chalkiest soil, perfect for producing a high-acidity grape ideal for creating delicious Cognac. The estate’s vineyard is merely 63 acres in size, meaning that production is limited and therefore bottles all the more exclusive. This is certainly one of the very finest in their range, a well aged XO Cognac, that has matured slowly in French Oak casks in the estate’s cellars. This aging process has produced some delectable notes of toffee, leather, dried fruits and flowers. To top things off, this Cognac is presented in a marvellous decanter-style bottle which is sure to stand out in any collection. Another truly excellent Cognac from one of the very best Cognac houses in the industry.
