Another phenomenal premier cru Cognac from Jean Fillioux.

This is a single cask bottling, produced using grapes grown entirely in the Grande Champagne cru.

This Cognac was bottled in February 2021, after being distilled “a long time ago” (according to the producer), “it was matured in a cool damp cellar, in a loose grain, medium toasted new French oak cask.”

The result is a spirit bursting fresh plums and orchard fruit flavours, followed by some light nuttiness, orange blossom, cherry, toasted pepper, old oak, vanilla, tea and some blond tobacco.

A terrific expression, just 504 bottles were produced.
