A beautifully coloured gin from Gin Lane 1751 - a brand which is named after the famous Hogarth print of the same name, and the Gin Act of 1751, which first regulated the production and sale of gin.
The brand has been created through a partnership between the Bloomsbury Club in London, and veteran gin distiller, Charles Maxwell.
This bottling has been inspired by the classic Aviation cocktail, which traditionally combines gin with violet liqueur and lemon juice. Natural violet leaf oils have been combined with vanilla, and added to Gin Lane’s London Dry botanicals of juniper, coriander, angelica, orris, lemon, orange, cassia bark and star anise.
The end result is a beautifully floral and flavoursome gin, with notes of fresh violets, violet candies, subtle spice, vanilla, sweet juniper, citrus and a touch of liquorice.
Of course - this makes a brilliant Aviation!
