A rich and citrussy gin from the Gin Lane 1751 brand, produced through a partnership between London bar the Bloomsbury Club, and gin legend Charles Maxwell of Thames Distillers.
The brand likes to focus on the traditional flavours of gin’s heyday in the Victorian era – as shown by this bottling, which captures the spirit of marmalade sandwiches at English picnics.
Clementines are similar to mandarins and tangerines, and offer a sweeter-orange like flavour that is perfect for flavouring gins. This spirit has been naturally flavoured with the fruit, alongside traditional botanicals of: juniper, coriander, angelica, orris, lemon, orange, cassia bark and star anise.
Drinkers should expect a gin that offers notes of rich warming spice, bittersweet juniper, marmalade, sweet citrus rind and a little root beer.
Excellent in a ‘Breakfast Martini’.
