Joining the illustrious ranks of Cane Island’s Single Island Blend series is this lovely Jamaican rum.
With a great pedigree of distilleries in the blend, this offering includes spirit from the Worth Park Estate, Hampden Estate, New Yarmouth Estate and Monymusk Estate. It has been made with molasses and distilled mostly in pot stills, before being aged in refill Bourbon casks in the Caribbean for between 3-5 years. The tropical heat means that the spirit experiences an accelerated aging process.
Alongside this aged spirit, some unaged high-ester pot still rum is thrown into the mix, boosting the fruity, funky quality of this Jamaican spirit.
The final product is a great example of Jamaican rum, rich in funky, fruity flavours and with a heavy, dense mouthfeel. Further notes of woodspice and dark caramel round out this spirit.
Perfect for adding a little funk to all manner of rum cocktails, and equally delicious when drunk neat, this is a product of real quality.
