Foursquare Distillery has acquired something of a dedicated cult following in recent years, particularly when bottled independently, as with this offering.

This rum has been produced in rum and column stills at the Bajan distillery, which is based in the village of Four Roads. The spirit was aged for fully 8 years (this is a Scotch-style age statement, no Solera system here!) in American White Oak casks, a fairly considerably time for a Caribbean rum.

Drinkers can expect succulent notes of overripe banana, juicy mango, coconut, pineapple, brown sugar, slight citrus rind and warming oaky spice. The rum benefits from the slightly higher proof of 43% ABV.
