A pleasingly golden liqueur from the Bols distillery, based in the Netherlands.

Flavoured through a maceration of Madagascan Vanilla Bourbon, the liqueur has notes of white chocolate, dusky brown sugar sweetness, vanilla pod, almond, cream, sweet custard and a faint tiramisu quality.

Vanilla, despite its reputation for being “plain”, is actually one of the most complex flavours, and this liqueur does an excellent job of capturing it.

Does rather well at accentuating the vanilla notes of Bourbon cocktails.
