A rum from the Dominican Republic, bottled by famous Calvados producers, Château du Breuil.
This rum has been produced at Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos, a distillery constructed in 2010, with a clear commitment to social and environmental good – the distillery 97% self sufficient in energy.
This particular bottling has been distilled from molasses, that have been fermented for 18 hours prior to distillation. This rum has been initially matured in the Caribbean, where the angel’s share can reach up 12% a year, in ex-Bourbon and French oak casks, before a finish in Port and American oak barrels in the cooler cellars of Château du Breuil.
The result is a fully flavoured rum with notes of honey, dark berries, rich molasses, toffee, sweet oak, vanilla, pineapple, plums, blond tobacco and peppery spice.
A high quality rum, befitting of the Château du Breuil name.
