A wonderful eau-de-vie made with the quetsche, or damson, a blue plum found in the Alsace region where Nusbaumer is based.

These fruits are naturally fermented for a long time - clocking in at 6 weeks, before the stones are removed and the fruits are traditionally distilled in small copper stills. The eau-de-vie is then aged for a few years in stainless steel tanks to produce a well rounded final product.

The result is an eau-de-vie with notes of delicate cooked plums, slight almond, white sugar, damson jam and subtle pepper spice.

A perfect digestif.
