A belter of a dram from the notorious ‘Beast of Dufftown’: Mortlach.

This whisky forms part of Diageo’s Special Releases, which are always eagerly awaited. The 2021 edition had a mythical theme, with the collection’s title “Legends Untold.”

This Mortlach has been aged for 13 years in a combination of virgin and refill American oak casks, producing a weighty and aromatic spirit.

The final product is a dram that brings notes of polished oak, meaty malt, peppery spice, some jammy strawberries and blackcurrants, lime rind, honeysuckle, herbs and toffee.

Bottled at a cask strength of 55.9%, these bottles are highly limited in number.
