This is the 8th release in the Swedish Mackmyra distillery’s ’Special’ series. This whisky is made up of whiskies from quite a few different casks: bourbon casks, sherry casks, and casks made from Swedish and American oak. It is finished in French Sauternes casks. All these different casks combined with the Sauternes wine finish yields a delicious, fruity, floral, and spicy single malt whisky. The Swedes have really nailed down how to make good whisky.
