One of the very oldest Genever bottlings you are likely to encounter.
This spirit has been produced by Filliers, a Belgian company who have been in the business since 1880. Filliers is one of the largest Genever producers in the world, and therefore they are amongst very few distillery’s who have the aged stock to create a spirit like this.
This bottling is at the top of Filliers range, having been aged for 21 years in former Bourbon American oak barrels.
The result is a sumptuous and delightful spirit, with flavours of cigar smoke, toffee, vanilla, pine, juniper, mixed herbs, walnuts, orange rind, chocolate and a touch of red fruit.
A world apart from most Genevers on the market, this is an intense and complex spirit, where the cask and the botanicals match each other for flavour.
Bottled at 46% ABV, this spirit has a full mouthfeel and intensity of flavour.
