A fascinating product from Bladnoch distillery, the most southerly malt distillery in Scotland.

Technically a “spirit drink”, this unaged new make is a rare chance to taste a whisky in its earliest form, before it enters the barrel.

Made using Lowland barley, the spirit offers ups of creamy malt, ripe bananas, some flowers, black pepper and a little warming chilli.

Bottled at 63.5% ABV (barrel filling strength) this is one for the Lowland purists out there.
