A very high quality Cognac from Bertrand, a family owned estate in the heart of Petite Fine Champagne.
Dating back to the 18th century, Bertrand are known for producing delightful spirit from their small 82 hectare vineyard. The estate is based around the iconic Windmill of Bel’Air, the last to be found in the town of Reaux. Here, in Petite Fine Champagne, the soil is chalky and fine, perfect for growing flavoursome, intense grapes.
The spirit has been double distilled in small batches, and aged for 20 years in Limousin and Tronçais casks, producing a Cognac of exceptional depth and quality. Drinkers should expect notes of deep dried fruits, toasted nuts, cloves, flowers, nutmeg, orange rind, dark chocolate, slight leather, rancio, deep vanilla and powerful oak.
A delicious, compelling Cognac that rewards patient drinking.
