Another excellent batch of limited edition whisky from youthful North Highland distillery Wolfburn.

This dram has been matured in Bourbon casks, followed by a finishing period in first fill Port casks from the Fonseca company.

The result is an intensely fruity and delicious whisky, which serves up notes of jammy fruits (strawberries, raspberries, cherries and figs), toffee, dark chocolate, intense malt, pepper, cinnamon, slight chilli oil, brown sugar and some pressed flowers.

Bottled at 46% ABV and without chill filtration or colouration, this is a promising and pleasing whisky from a distillery that continues to impress.
