A second regular release from this new distillery. Wolfburn’s first standard offering wowed drinkers around the world with its youthful sprightliness, complexity and clarity of flavour. Aurora takes things one step further, adding even more cask influence to the whisky. Here, the North-Highland distillery has aged 40% of their whisky in second-fill quarter casks, 20% in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks, and the remaining 40% in first fill former-bourbon casks. The result is layered and intense whisky, featuring the classic sea-air notes of the first Wolfburn, but enriched with flavours of dried fruits, toasted oak and vanilla. This whisky is bottled at 46% ABV, and without chill-filtsration or colouring.
