A magnificent grappa bottling from Northern Italy, in the area around Trento, known for being one of the finest regions in the world for growing grapes.
Made with high quality grape pomace gathered from vineyards local to the distillery, this grappa has been fermented with carefully selected yeast, and distilled in discontinuous stills. The spirit was distilled on the 20th of October 1975, something we know for certain due to a touching inscription on the label:
“I guarantee that this extraordinary distillate was put in wooden barrels for aging on the day of the birth of my son Michele, 20th October 1975” – Luigi Dolzan, Master Distillery.
The spirit has been long aged, producing a wonderfully complex grappa with notes of tropical fruit, vanilla, oak, leather, spice, dried fruits, honeysuckle, toffee, bright grape, wine tannins, some green wood and a touch of herbaceous menthol.
The grappa is presented in a beautiful decanter style bottle, with a handsome wooden box.
