A high quality rhum Agricole from Martinique distillery, Trois Rivières.

Since 2004, Trois Rivières rum has been produced at the La Mauny distillery. In order to maintain the spirit’s unique style, the Trois Rivières original column still was dismantled and painstakingly reassembled piece by piece in its new location.

This bottling is the product of three vintage distillations, 1999, 2000 and 2009 (note that two come from before the still was moved to La Mauny). Production of this rum was overseen by Virginie Pouppeville, the master distiller, and the cellar master Daniel Baudin.

The three vintages have come together to produce a superb rhum Agricole, with a perfect balance between the younger and older components.

Drinkers should expect notes of soft buttered bread, ginger, jammy berries, citrus rind, toffee, brown sugar, floral sugar cane, nutmeg, peppery spice, tobacco, candied citrus segments and cherry, hazelnuts, lime, and a little star anise.

A fruity, floral and delicious rum, bottled at 42% ABV for a touch more warmth and body.
