Without a doubt one of Scotland’s finest distilleries, Talisker is located in the breathtakingly beautiful isle of Skye (indeed, the only distillery on the island). Talisker has long been known for its superb peppery Island whisky. This is the 2017 release of their highly rated and eagerly awaited 25 Year Old. This whisky is allowed to age in refill casks for 25 long years, creating an exquisite and beautifully balance dram. This whisky is rich in peppery, maritime flavours with a superb oaky toffee note and elegant, faint peat smoke. This whisky is bottled at what Talisker consider their “classic proof” of 45.8% ABV, which allows the flavours to really take flight on the palate, enhancing their power and richness. Talisker is a favourite of whisky collectors, and this would make an excellent addition to even the widest of collections. Truly a once in a lifetime dram, we do not expect this bottling to hang around!
