A lovely barrel aged Genever from historic Dutch producers, Rutte.

Jan Rutte first created this bottling back in the 1940s. At the time it was the first five year old Genever to be produced.

This spirit has been made with 100% malt wine genever, flavoured with botanicals including juniper, angelica, orris root and orange blossom. The bottling has then been aged in combination of barrels, including some sherry casks, for five years.

The result is a genever that offers notes of old oak, flowers, sherried dried fruits, bright juniper, earthy spice, toffee, forest floor and chewy malt.

A genever of real depth and flavour that will appeal to whisky drinkers.
