A big bottle of this superb, old fashioned style of genever from Dutch company Rutte.

The is made with malt wine and botanicals including juniper, angelica, coriander, orris root and several other spices and fruits.

Unaged – the old in the title refers to the fact that the spirit is made with a greater portion of malt wine, just as it was back in the old days.

The final result is a supple, smooth genever with notes of bright juniper, light fruitiness, creamy malt, some brown sugar, grain sweetness and earthy spice.

A delicious bottling, that world work well in place of gin in some classic cocktails.
