A fantastic peaty Port Charlotte single malt from Bruichladdich distillery. This dram was originally intended for the travel retail market.

The whisky was made with 100% Scottish barley from Invernesshire. The barley was malted and peated to 40 ppm. This particular offering has been aged in French and American oak casks for six years, prior to being vatted and finished in the finest Marsala casks for a further two years.

The result is a cracking dram that serves up notes of cloves, orange rind, toasted oak, nuts, peach, vanilla, salted caramel, some dry, floral peat smoke, salinity, pears, apples, hay, sweet grapes, wood smoke and dried fruit.

Bottled at a robust cask strength of 56.3% ABV, this is a powerful, assertive dram.

An excellent example of sweet and smoky spirit, just 30,000 bottles were produced.
