Old Pulteney’s in house whisky liqueur has had a drastic new rebrand and now features a new name.
Stroma is the name of an isle found close to the distillery, off the Caithness coast. It takes its name from a Norse word meaning “island in a stream”. The swirling seas pictured on the bottle recalls the perilous currents that surround the isle, including the dangerous Swilkie whirlpool.
The liqueur itself is based upon a blend of Old Pulteney’s malts, overseen by distillery manager Malcolm Waring. Stroma is a spicy, honey rich liqueur, perfect over ice or served neat.
More robust than most Liqueurs at 35% ABV, this gives Stroma a great body and power.
A great liqueur with a great story. Old Pulteney suggest serving this in a Rusty Nail cocktail, mixed with their very own 12 year old!
