A powerfully smoky whisky from Bruichladdich Distillery’s hyper-peated Octomore range.

This single malt whisky has been peated to 96.9ppm – a little softer than other Octomore releases, but still intensely smoky. The spirit was aged for four years in former Bourbon barrels, before a second four year maturation in sweet Sauternes wine casks. The end product is a whisky rich in succulent fruits, powerful smoke and subtle spice.

Octomore 10.2 brings flavours of toasted oak, tropical fruits, thick peat smoke, sweet white grapes, cinnamon, black pepper, peaches, lemon rinds, dessert wine, ash, honey, cloves, orange juice and charred malt.

Bottled at a fiery 56.9%, this is a full bodied and assertive dram.
