A high quality 2004 vintage Rosé Champagne from Laurent-Perrier.
Laurent-Perrier was founded in 1812, and is now the third bestselling Champagne house in the world, after Moët and Veuve Clicquot.
The wine was disgorged 2012 after 8 years of aging sur lattes (with the bottles on their side during second fermentation). The wine is made with roughly equal parts Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes.
After aging for 8 years, this wine has begun to develop some wonderful complexity, with notes of rose, cocktail bitters, tangerine peel, red grape, white peach, blood orange juice and slight minerality. The bottling has a delicate effervescence and a medium body. It is a light sandy pink in colour.
2004 was known to be a good year for Champagne, and this vintage bottling is ready to drink, but offers the opportunity for aging.
Each bottle comes with a beautiful wooden presentation box.
