Laurent-Perrier only produces vintage Champagnes from the very best years, and 2008 was certainly one of them.
Renowned as a legendary growing season, 2008 had bright, sunny and dry days that produced rich, delicious grapes with well balanced acidity.
This Champagne has been made with a combination of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir grapes, grown in Grand Cru vineyards. It has been aged for eight years on lees and has a dosage of eight grams per litre.
The wine itself pours with a light, soft mousse and delicate bubbles. This Champagne offers notes of dried orchard fruits, flowers, buttery pastry, some oily citrus, a touch of smoke, lemon rind and acidic white grapes.
Ripe and fruity, but also restrained and fine.
