Once again, the Irish Whiskey revival has gone back to the future. Kinahan’s was a famous brand during the 19th and early 20th centuries, receiving Royal Warrants from Queen Victoria and Edward VII. It also was the preferred whiskey of Jerry Thomas, featuring in his How to Mix Drinks. The revived brand has taken up residence in the same street it was founded on, Trinity Street Dublin.
This small batch whiskey has been matured for a minimum of 6 years in American oak casks, resulting in a drinkable, sweet, fruity and light Irish Whiskey, with a classic Irish unmalted barley character.
The whiskey benefits from being bottled at a warming 46% ABV, and without chill filtration.
An excellent value for money small batch Irish Whiskey.
